UPSELLerate ("we," "us," "our") provides a retention analytics application for Shopify merchants. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you install UPSELLerate on your Shopify store, we access order history, customer records, and product data made available through the Shopify API in order to identify purchase patterns and generate retention recommendations. We do not collect payment card numbers; that data remains with Shopify and its payment processors.
If you submit information through our website (such as your work email, store name, or a message), we collect what you provide to respond to your inquiry.
We do not sell customer data. We do not share your store's customer data with third parties except the marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Omnisend) you explicitly connect, and service providers who help us operate the product (such as cloud infrastructure and AI model providers) under confidentiality obligations.
UPSELLerate uses machine learning models to analyze order data and generate recommendations. Aggregated and order-level data may be processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers solely to produce your store's retention insights; it is not used to train models on behalf of other customers.
We retain store data for as long as your account is active. If you uninstall UPSELLerate, we delete or anonymize your store's data within a reasonable period, consistent with Shopify's app data protection requirements.
